If Poole did that he would have been suspended, 99% of basketball “fights” are shoving matches because 99% of players are sane enough not to do stupid shot like Draymond let alone to a teammate. You comparing what you should do to a stranger to what is happening here.
Try it with police if pushing can't be classified as assault. Pushing can definitely be assault. You put your hand out if you want to slow someone down....that's even how security guards do it unless the situation warrants a push when a person doesn't walk away.
