:what:

My parents were well off middle class surburbanites with class and wouldn't dare be caught sippin' 40s and cussing around their kids. I had no problems with gangs and I actually went to a very great school where black children achieved at all levels, where many of us graduated and went to great colleges, even Ivy Leagues. We all have great careers and have never had to worry about or chances of being successful being dependent on one of our friends not being successful.

:to: Oh, how I wish I could give that up to relate to GKMC. Woe is me. :ohlawd:

^^^^ Your average black kid born from 88 to now. IDK where y'all get the idea that most black kids grow up in Kendrick like situations when stats show otherwise. :dahell: Which is why Drake is selling way more and way more popular than Kendrick.

:laff: I said the lyrics are good, it's just boring. Sorry I won't help you suck his dikk breh. :yeshrug:

Low-income blacks also slipped further behind. The share of black households ranking among the poorest poor - those earning less than $15,000 - climbed from 20 per cent to 26 per cent over the past decade; other race and ethnic groups posted smaller increases.

Blacks overall are experiencing a 13.4 percent unemployment rate, according to figures released Friday, much higher than the national rate of 7.8 percent.

From 2005 to 2009, the average black household's wealth fell by more than half, to $5,677, while white household wealth fell 16 percent to $113,149, according to the Pew Research Center. In 2009, 24 percent of black households had no major assets other than a vehicle, compared with 6 percent of their white counterparts.

"For every $20 whites have in wealth, blacks have just $1," said Paul Taylor, director of Pew's Social and Demographic Trends project. "And in many cases, households get a boost because they inherit wealth from parents and grandparents. Blacks for most of history haven't been able to accumulate that type of wealth."

The median annual household income for blacks declined by 11.1 percent (from $36,567 to $32,498) from June 2009 to June 2012, according to an analysis of Census Bureau data by Sentier Research.

Considering (a) that middle class is still the biggest segment on that chart you still haven't proved your point. :mjpls:

When you also consider that housing projects and low income housing has been torn down and substituted with vouchers/subsidies for housing in middle class neighborhoods, again, your average black kid does not grow up like Kendrick.

Are you telling me that the image of black kids and families being poor hoodrats is the case/image of most black people? If so you are saying more about yourself than you are about me. :pachaha: and it actually makes for good reason on why you dislike Drake. It's always been known that white people/OD hood people have a disdain for suburbanites. :mjpls:

Anyway, I'm not gonna keep arguing opinions over rap albums, especially when outside of a message board cult, my opinion is the popular one and yours isn't. :umad:

Why is this a class issue? :deadmanny:
:pachaha: That's what I'm trying to figure out.

Dude try to throw a shot and say I don't like Kendrick's album (which is crazy cause I already said I liked it as that it was good, just boring) cause I can't relate to it (which again makes no sense considering that I'm pretty sure people who did grow up like and who do relate to Kendrick may like the Drake album more)

People on the Coli can't fathom opinions that differ from theirs, so of course illogical as hominems will fly when t comes to differing opinions. :ehh:

I like GKMC like I like Illmatic. Great bodies of work and I can visualize that shyt they are talkin about, but you won't catch me bumpin that shyt anywhere, and I think Illmatic is the best rap cd ever released. Don't know why people get so in their feelings on here.

This is the last time I try to have a reasonable discussion on this part of the board. Just gonna hit you nikkas with insults and keep it moving :smugbiden:

Really dont see how this is a contest. Nothing Was The Same is a hyprocritical late bloomer still trying to find out what he wants to be while GKMC was way more ambitious and aimed a lot higher. One of the few albums of this new generation that is not entirely self-centered.

You bustin out charts:whew:

nikkas don't get it until I do :wow:

You said the average black kid born after 88 lives/lived a life similar to Drake's, I proved you wrong.

Drake grew up in Forest Hill, google the demographic of that area and tell me that is similar to the African-American middle-class :usure:.

What da fukk does projects being torn down have to do with anything? It's not the black middle-class moving into the rebuilt areas.

No, Kendrick is not a hoodrat nor has he every proclaimed to be the most thuggish nikka on the block. He is from a regular (judging by the charts) black working/poverty class neighborhood which, again judging by the charts, relates to most black americans, so what are u trying to say?

Give me one post where I said I dislike Drake's music overall. Do I hate that nikkas simpin? Yes. Is that nikka's bottom the majority of the world's aspirations before they die? Yes. Is that nikka tinkerbell soft? Yes. Can that nikka make good music outside of his simp shyt and is currently the biggest artist in hip hop? Yes. But most importantly, is that nikka better than Kendrick or had a better debut? Hell fukkin no.

I'm Eritrean, far from white. Try again.

As soon as they are moved into those neighborhoods they are no longer good middle class areas. Its hard to believe but at one point Riverdale and Jonesboro GA were nice areas. They tore down the projects and moved those people into those neighborhoods and they went down in a hurry. They fukked Clayton Co all the way up.
