Yes X didn't like Drake to begin with but the Aaliyah ish pushed him over the edge. Also Drake did an interview and said "Me and 40 are COMMANDING the Aaliyah Album".

Drake Officially Confirms New Aaliyah Album 2012 - YouTube

Timbaland said now 40 called him and said things changed (Obviously cause of the fan backlash) and now they are saying it was just one song. Yes I agree that the interviewers knew X was a loose cannon and pretty much instigated him going in on Drake. But that doesn't change it. Drake either went to or was asked by Aaliyah's uncle and label to do it. He said yes and they did a song. This is where the problem comes in. Why is Drake Executive Producing an Aaliyah album? Really?. Ok he's hot right now, they want to make money but like Missy said, those songs aren't even done. How does Drake know what Aaliyah was like in the studio or her sound? He doesn't. My beef isn't even with Drake as an aritst, it's with how he handled the situation.
This.

It shouldn't have even reached the level that it did, but that's Drake camp fault. If handled properly he'd get to live his dream and the amount of ppl opposed to it is lessened. Well...maybe. It sounds like Aaliyah family might never want anything of hers released which sucks.

"Drake's homeboy responds"............:laff:...........these pussified nikkaz are hilarious.....so you get shyt talked on you and you cant even respond cause you're scared and you have your homey do it for you??.......that is one of the most bytchmade things you could ever do......shyt aint even in person its over the internet and you still couldnt respond for yourself?.....:heh:....I think you know who is shook at this point....

I think he was responding to the fact that X said aint no gangstas in Toronto, not to him dissin Drake. I doubt Drake even cares what he says about him

Couple of things.

1) The words 'DMX', 'Drake', and 'Beef' in one sentence :beli:. DMX (regardless of his current status) shouldn't even be mentioning Drake b/c Drake will never impact music the way DMX has.

2) :lolbron: at all the people saying Drake is a chump for not coming back at DMX. Seriously, DMX is a basket case if he came out the blue at me I'd ignore it too. Drizzy Cupcake aint trying to end up :dead: or physically mangled b/c of DMX.

LOL Dude if you liked a girl in school and had a crush on her and had her pictures all over ur room and got a tattoo of her, yet never spoke to her or spent time with her, shed have a restraining order on you, youd be considered a weirdo stalker, and most likely youd eventually be spending time in a jail cell or a rubber room

No I agree with you, the Tattoo is extreme, but people do get Tats of other people on them they didn't know. Me personally, I think he do go a little far wit the tat. Even Timbaland didn't want to believe it was real. Again does it look corny? Yes. I think the Earpiece is just as bad:

Also there's a difference in paying homage and forcing yourself on her musical legacy. When Drake did the song "Unforgettable" with Jezzy that sampled Aaliyah. Did anyone say anything? No cause that's homage, it's a sample. But taking unheard vocals, that's a whole different ball game.

Exactly, now imagine Drake and 40 took "Enough Said" to Timbaland and let him fix up the drums some more or added Missy on a verse. Everyone would of loved the song. Instead again he wanted Aaliyah all to himself cause like I've said, that's obviously one of his fantasies. The Media is jumping on it cause that's what the Media does. All the hip hop blogs and radio are jumping on it cause they love controversy.

You're letting your hate for drake cloud your senses..

This isn't about drake, it's about X saying there wasnt any gangstas in Toronto but he actually got robbed in that same city he dissin...and so what if he's a crackhead..he don't get a pass for that either

Exit Wounds = 2001

Drake in 2001= 14 year old listening to n'sync, acting on tv

im going to assume drakes friend is his age which would make him a lil kid who doesnt know sh*t. Im calling :duck: on any and all stories coming out a drakes camp.

Didn't come out of Drakes camp they just brought it to light for people that didn't know about it as it directly reflects on DMX comments
