I have mixed feelings on the tattoo cause honestly, people have tattoo's of a lot of people they didn't meet. Drake loves Aaliyah, he's a Big fan. But just cause you are a fan of someone and now you are hot on the charts and got money, don't give you the rights to their musical legacy. My biggest issues with this situation is the people close to Aaliyah in her musical family were not comfortable with how Drake handled it.

Like I said, I don't even fully agree about how X went about it but at the same time X is X, he's a real dude, he's going to say how it feels. I know it was harsh but it was Real. He was pissed and they caught his rant on camera. But his overall points were correct. Missy and Timbaland aren't going to be like X was but listen to their interviews, they were obviously not happy about the song, they didn't even want to listen to it. So Drake's team can send out twitters about X getting robbed but they will not address the real issue at hand. Dude Aaliyah obsession went to far.

OK, was X harsh on Drake? Yes but the amount of reaching to try and get X is getting lame now. Dudes making record sales post when X is one of the highest selling rappers ever, now reaching for Robbery stories. Why isn't nobody just addressing what the problem really is? Drake obsession with Aaliyah went to far and he got called out on it. Drake is not above criticism and when X, Missy and Timbaland, people that actually KNEW Aaliyah and worked with her said he f*cked up how he handled it? Well guess what, HE F*CKED UP. When it comes to Street Sh!t, Drake should not even try to be hard cause X is a real Street Dude.

It's blasphemous how this cornball gets to desecrate her legacy. :pacspit:

Mainly because that's not X's real problem with Drake at all...he never even heard of the drake/aaliyah shyt before until an interviewer threw it in there while X was already minutes into a nonsensical "I hate drake" rant...he has absolutely no idea what drake's actual involvement with the aaliyah shyt is (a feature on ONE 40 produced song)...these interviewers are just gassing him cause it's funny to watch x go on these ridiculous over the top crackhead rants about Drake and it brings views and site hits

Yes X didn't like Drake to begin with but the Aaliyah ish pushed him over the edge. Also Drake did an interview and said "Me and 40 are COMMANDING the Aaliyah Album".

Timbaland said now 40 called him and said things changed (Obviously cause of the fan backlash) and now they are saying it was just one song. Yes I agree that the interviewers knew X was a loose cannon and pretty much instigated him going in on Drake. But that doesn't change it. Drake either went to or was asked by Aaliyah's uncle and label to do it. He said yes and they did a song. This is where the problem comes in. Why is Drake Executive Producing an Aaliyah album? Really?. Ok he's hot right now, they want to make money but like Missy said, those songs aren't even done. How does Drake know what Aaliyah was like in the studio or her sound? He doesn't. My beef isn't even with Drake as an aritst, it's with how he handled the situation.

LOL Dude if you liked a girl in school and had a crush on her and had her pictures all over ur room and got a tattoo of her, yet never spoke to her or spent time with her, shed have a restraining order on you, youd be considered a weirdo stalker, and most likely youd eventually be spending time in a jail cell or a rubber room

Drake Officially Confirms New Aaliyah Album 2012 - YouTube

Timbaland said now 40 called him and said things changed (Obviously cause of the fan backlash) and now they are saying it was just one song. Yes I agree that the interviewers knew X was a loose cannon and pretty much instigated him going in on Drake. But that doesn't change it. Seems like the issue has been resolved then...what are we supposed to address at this point? residual outrage over a nonexistent aaliyah project drake and 40 were asked to be a part of, that they have since walked away from?

That seems to be a complete non issue in a thread about a guy from t.o. responding to somebody saying his city has no gangstas, when he supposedly got robbed there...not only does that have nothing to do with a hypothetical nonexistent aaliyah album, it doesn't even just involve drake...X called the entire city out, for pretty much no reason at all..just threw the entire city under a bus as part of some rambling nonsensical "I've never met drake, but I HATE him" rant
