I'm actually thinking a lot (maybe all) of this is Drake writing himself, there are definitely some desperation bars up in there.

Limited time to respond and you can tell it's affecting some of the musicality because the rhyme structure/syllables are kind of messier, word choices to rhyme are more basic, etc.
