If he didn't use AI it wouldn't be bad, people only feel a way about this song because of verse 1

Except if AI was always thing 96 Pac would've definitely used the shyt too. Death didn't stop Pac from talking about people. "Switched sides guess his new friends wanted him dead"

There can't be no rules in rap battles now all of a sudden...well...we found the rule book. It says here number 1 rule is you can't mimic dead people. Not after decades of threatening to shoot & stab each other, laughing at sickle cell & diseases, fukking the rapper's underage daughter, condoms on the baby seat etc. nikkas were coming out the woodwork with regulations for Drake to follow and didn't even need to he lost anyway

:unimpressed:

From the jump people have given AI the side eye when it comes to recreating images, styles, voices. Movie studios get backlash when they use AI in movies. Keanu Reeves has it in his contracts now that studios can’t use his images and likeness with AI.

It’s even louder when we’re dealing with dead people. Everyone gave Timbaland the :gucci:when he used AI to put a Biggie verse on his beat. So of course if someone uses Pac’s voice without his family’s permission in a diss song there’s going to be backlash.

Why is it hated so much? Because of why somebody uses it or because it cheapens everything extraordinary made without it? Movie studios got backlash because they wanted actors and background talent to sign over their likeness which meant they could do whatever they wanted to the character with AI and opens up major issues with money. AI can be used for good if it enhances an idea, the problem is this country is capitalistic so the first thing they ran to was how to screw people out of money. There's a lot of context missing with you

This was a battle record. It wasn't on DSPs so it didn't make any money Pac's family didn't see. And it fit Drake's point at that time of Kenny taking too long to reply, using WC legends to diss worked. At least the shyt was original and he didn't say anything wild as Pac or Snoop either, he kept it on Kenny. Pac's family having a problem though is one thing, anybody else running their cock sucker faking rage can come off it.

Him using that verse in his voice to talk how he's gonna shoot and kill Kendrick would've been tolerated more than taunting him with a voice decoder. See how backwards that is?
