A song being trash has never stopped Drake from charting before

He tried to reclaim the BBL drizzy thing and it flopped. The plan was for that song to be bigger than the originalNah... I think he was tryna troll with that Sexy Redd shyt and it backfired.
Artists can come back from alot. We've seen it over the years. However, the pedo allegations and the smoke where there's probably fire are stronger than people are realizing. The biggest moments in NLU are all referencing him and his associates being/having weird situations with trafficking/associations with minors/rape ect. There's a good chunk of those situations that have weight and truth. You cannot just come back from the world screaming you're a pedo at the top of their lungs for an entire summer and think you're just gonna come back. Nobody at their own personal peak and peak at the top of the game has ever gotten dragged through the streets this way. Then he kept posting duds. Drake is done.I'll preface by saying I still don't think Drake is in trouble but...at this point I think it's fair to say the old strat isn't working. Nearly every Drake album over the last decade has had the same rollout strat where he drops a small pack of songs, including a street track and a radio hit. Scary Hours for instance, where Diplomatic Immunity was the rap/streets track and God's Plan was the hit. Worth noting that even Diplomatic Immunity charted super high and was a very successful song. One of my favorite Drake tracks still.
I do not think Drake is finished but I'm very curious what his next big "moment" track will be. Is it coming soon? Will he wait? Does the label have a say in any of this?
The issue is there is likely no other big “moment” coming. Music works in phases. Everyday someone is hot then they’re not. Drake was already waning. The Kendrick ish just expedited it.I'll preface by saying I still don't think Drake is in trouble but...at this point I think it's fair to say the old strat isn't working. Damn dot is still in the Top 10. This nikka really had the summer on lock. With one track meanwhile drake dropping almost a mixtape of tracks and can’t even crack the top 10.
Yea Kendrick really did damage to the boy. The question now is can Drake get a top 10 hit instead of number 1. Kendrick has every right to chill his song still in the top 10.
Nah I think if he does he’s going to go the album for album route. I don’t think he’s going to take that chance having Kendrick diss his ass again and potentially be on top.Top 10?
Drake has not had a top 10 hit since "Family Matters". The closest he got is "It's Up" at #28....which fell to #63 this week.
Maybe he needs to diss Kendrick again to crack the top 10.
Fred.
Even though things ain’t looking good for the boy I can see him putting a lot of tracks on the album to bloat the streams so he can win.please drop on the same day
i’m ready for the shambles on either side
he lives in canada and theres no trafficking going onWhen is the FBI going to raid this CAC pdf to finally get him out of the paint?
