It's been several times since he announced he was taking a break, lol, but like was said:
it's literally OVO under exclusive license to republic or universal or whatever.
same time he left from under cash money. if the $400m deal or whatever was true, then I'm assuming it was for them to get first dibs on any and all Drake music released.
Which is why I'm not buying into the whole 100 gigs shyt and it supposedly being struck and him being forced to put it on DSPs. Very plainly a rollout for it's up, mainly, and testing the waters with the other tracks.
I kinda think he just enjoys doing this shyt and would have taken a break if not for the beef. At least the cabilla songs were recorded before the beef, no clue on the other ones
I highly doubt Drake couldn’t take a 2-4 month break if he wanted. Its not like he’s actually writing/producing his own shyt. The ghostwriters can continue cooking while he chills out and all he has to do is get his karaoke on when its time to drop the album
