Drake is eating off the audience that Jay opened up so many years ago. There are for more casual hip-hop fans in today's age then there were during much of Jay's reign. Jay, Em and Nelly helped make this accomplishment possible for Drake and the grand scheme of things.

Black Bar Mitsvahs, Lakheim. :heh:

thats the hip hop chart tho.... how many do these nikkas have on the hot 100.. the one that actually matters.

It's an accomplishment in any event, dude basically been doing this for 3 years :ehh: While Wayne and Jay been doing this for 14 and 17. I'm shocked Wayne doesn't have the most though, he easily stacked more features than Drake. Props to our Toronto nikka for being not only being one of the dopest rapper but the dopest rapper on the radio since he came though if we counting features as well :cook:

big deal. jay-z did all that in an era where it was harder to have a #1 song. drake has no competition right now.
Naw. Jay did that in an era where MOP, Redman and Pharaoh Monch were making hit singles and picking up gold plaques. The late 90s - early 2000s was by far the easiest time ever to be a rap or a pop star...

While that's partially true and also very relative (is a popstar based on absolute sales or total commercial exposure and demand like shows, blogs and on). Like RD sold 500k in a few months, Big Sean sold 300k in 1 year. Is Big Sean a bigger star than Jay-z was in 96? yes.

He didn't say anything about being a rap or pop star, he said having a #1 record. Which was harder before iTunes and the whole digital thing.
Drake does however deserve accolades for delivering, unlike a lot of these other new school dudes.

It's an amazing feat considering he did it in 3 years.

Would be interesting to pit his number one singles against Hov's and see which ones are better though

Give the homie some props.
shyt is like saying Kobe has 5 rings and you say call me when he has 6 :mjpls:

Probably the only dude in the game that can give 2 Chainz a #1 record that's dope to Dj Khaleds first #1 to Trey Songz to washed up Timbo and Jaimie Foxx that actually are dope songs he's the most versatile new rapper in the game hands down .
