The one thing I will say about Drake is the R&B/Hip-Hop charts these days consist of rap songs and Trey Songz records. Back in the day, when R&B was strong as hell, you had to compete with the likes of Usher, Ginuwine, Missy Elliot, Aaliyah (RIP), Nelly, Mariah Carey, Faith Evans, 112, Jagged Edge, etc. All artists who had huge hits in urban markets.
Nowadays, you're competing against rappers and a few R&B guys at most. So rap dominates that chart now when back in '96-'05, R&B dominated that chart. Not nearly as hard to run it now.
But props to Drake for his run.
