Her loss was a Collab album with 21.....that actually further proves my point. He flopped so bad with honestly nevermind that he knew he had to attach his name to a new age rapper with a strong following. To be honest, 400k first week was pretty low considering how established both of them were. Then he came with FATD with 23 songs cause he knew he was all on his own again.
It's a smart strategy considering first week sales is what most people pay attention to. His fanbase will always show out in that first week and he knows that.
More songs does NOT equal more streams ..it just gives you more shots at getting one smash hit
I can listen to GNX twice in the same timeframe I can listen to FATD once (12 songs vs 23 songs)
And according to you “fans listen to their artists albums non stop” first week ..so If I do that I can do that with the shorter album more times… meaning the streams per song may be a bit higher..but the overall streams are similar
Casual consumers actually tune out of a longer albums quicker (I have 45 minutes to spare..I don’t have 90 minutes to spare)
