...or alternatively he has just come off the back of his worst year ever, and released an album off the back of a superbowl performance that dug his grave and still managed 100k more?
Thats kendrick 13th week lol, his 1st week was even better, with half of the songs... like billboard said, gnx 1st week is something drake has never been able to do charts wise...even at his peak.

Facts, Virginia Beach was probably my favorite song off his last album. I'm a Drake fan but I don't just mindlessly gas something up if it's trash. It's like you said though nikkas just gonna gas it cause it's Drake. So when I finally gave this a listen I was shocked to hear that people were hyping this up because I been listening to dude for fukking 15 years at this point and I can tell when he's uninspired. Her Loss was the best Drake had sounded in years and I don't think he's dropped anything really good since then. There'll prob be a few songs on here I might go back to but since he's so concerned with streams now and not being as concise I'm cool on these bloated projects.

mine too. And I loved Hours In Silence.

Agree with you guys posting some of the standouts or just album cuts, and comparing. Nothing grabbed me like those songs. It feels very bland and safe. Nothing sounded bad, but even the CB Towers felt a little off. Forced? and I don't even listen to Kendrick like at all. Lacked confidence, maybe. Doesn't feel like it came from the heart.

and real shyt, I went through a period when I was listening to Jaded about 10X a day, feeling it in my heart - LOL - so no one could say I don't listen to Drake like that. I don't PND has the talent or creativity to help anymore. He's a long way from Wednesday Night Interlude, that was 10 years ago.

It's obvious this is a softball to get him back in the charts, and on playlists. This style isn't that cool anymore either, I mean, it is to me, mostly, it's a little stale and cheesy now, I am 39 but the newer generation doesn't want to hear that PND warbling shyt. Time can't be outrun. And it's caught up to Drake. More than Kendrick, I think it's just the years.

People in their early 20's have less and less of a connection to his music.

Greedy. Raining In Houson is cool. What's the sample? Ashanti? Baby? I get the dilemma, if you drop an EP, no one gives a fukk, if you drop a 21 track bloated thing, adds to the chances one song or more will pop and you get on the charts and the Tik Tok shyt.
