Bruh....real heads wasnt fukkin wit that 808 shyt. Even if they did it was because it was the first effort of ye doin this current fukk shyt. But even still....YE DOES PRODUCTION TOO. If Drake got writers....aside from performing(which includes no choreography....just that same lame ass smoke machine in front of white cryin teenagers) what the fukk else is he doing besides chiming in on shyt. Kanye produced all or majority of watch the throne, major hits on most of Jay shyt after 00'(everyone on rocafella really)...set cam on fire, laced common, and really about everyone else in the game. Secondly, Kanye never lied about getting help. He took Rhymefest to the grammies. He took his writer to the grammies. He also had Consequence around out in the open. Whereas Drake tried to pretend for YEARS that he was a real emcee who had bars and then when Meek exposed him he got hurt and still hasn't admitted to having writers. Drake doesn't take pics with Hush holding his own award at the grammies. Drake didn't want people to know he has writers whereas Kanye never gave a shyt

even with the 808 shyt, it was fresh and Kanye was taking chances with his music. When he first dropped Love Lockdown nikkas was like wtf is this shyt. Kanye didn't have to drop no project like that I doubt his team that it was smart. Dropping 808s wasn't a "safe" move, nikkas can't keep falling back on that like 808s was a sell out moment for Ye. It wasn't. Even since 808s (and Cudi's first 2 albums) no artists has done that vibe better than Kanye and Cudi, even though many tried to copy it. They weren't following no one when they first started doing that style of music

I dont even care that he did 808's...he set off a decade plus...he can do what he wants. My point is 808 was Kanye and cudi doin them....a lot of bad singing imo...but he earned the right to so it, and gained acclaim for it. But someone writing 808 for Kanye isn't a jaw dropper like say we found out someone wrote ready to die for big. Ye shyt was a big experiment on wax....
