Let me say at first listen this album feels like Views 2.0. The trap, African beat, reggae, RNB sounds are there. Some are more refined, others miss the mark. 22 tracks is just too much for an album especially in Drakes current state. It's not 2011-2013. It's unusual for Drake to hide behind the "playlist" label and not be confident in the project. IMO you take the best 14 tracks you got phenomenal record. There's enough on here to craft and form a cohesive project. I'm glad the hip hop tracks on this are highlights unlike the ones on Views.
Those British tracks should've been singles that didn't make the album. I get Drake is showing love but they bring the album down IMO.
Glow had potential to be a classic collab. The beat the atmosphere was incredible. But what was Drakd thinking that it was okay to sing back and forth and not drop bars. I was so confused when he was singing to Ye(who actually contributed a decent verse). Track was a miss opportunity.
PARTY and Drake made another forgettable track jeez but shiiit the second have of "Since Way Back" was vintage OVO SOUND.
"Cant Have Everything" was so reminiscent of "Underground Kings" on Take Care. That's the Drake I want to hear spit most. These slow flow trap songs that everyone else was doing is meh. Drake with a quicker flow so much better.
