Yea my friend earlier (From France ) said Drake ain't making music for USA anymore. Its funny cause he made big using our sound and cosigns from Wayne, Cash Money and samples from timbaland/aaliyah/missy/playa, etc... but now he out grew American Hip Hop. He doesnt even mess with Toronto rap much really either.

A good album after one listen - this nikka needs to stop doing slow jams though cause his voice ain't strong enough to carry the slow tempos. Was hoping for more bars like IYRTITL - I ain't even listen to Views cause that shyt sounds soppy as fukk. But respect the world influences on this.

This is probably the album Drake has been wanting to make since Take Care - nikka's been fukking with the UK and the Carribean for years with dude's like Mavado, SBTRKT, Jamie XX. Nikka was even listening to Sneakbo

Only difference between now and then is that dude has built himself up to a spot where he can do what he wants now and the blow back will be minimal.

I'm not the biggest Drake fan but one of the things I always respected about the dude is that he doesn't live in a bubble like 99% of US rappers in terms of thinking hip hop is the only shyt out there. Very open minded about world music which I think gives him a major advantage because it makes him evolve a lot faster as an artist than pretty much every one else in the game.

I got to applaud Drake's vision in terms of he's setting himself up to be THE artist of the black diaspora.
