In Drake's case you seem to not understand why tho.

Drake broke the cardinal rule in hip hop. For most its unforgivable. For people like me, I can get past it. But I look at it like the Lox. He a dope artist but I cant fix my mouth to put him in any top 5 or call him one of the greatest.

For me, he didn't help himself by dropping wack shyt after Meek called him out. shyt I thought Back To Back was cool but as a fan who has BIG, Nas, and Hov in my top 5, I can't help but have the thought of "maybe this nikka didn't write this shyt" in the back of my mind.

So yall gotta understand that him not writing his own shyt may not mean shyt to you but cats that consider themselves "purist" take that shyt to heart. And those same purist need to understand that some people just dont care about that kinda shyt.

Its easy for me becuz I dont have a side. Just as long as the shyt is fie, I'm good.
YAWN. What cardinal rule? Last time I checked there has been no evidence that he has ghostwriters but clearly you've bought into that narrative.

And if you think he's a fraud, why not just stop checking for him? It's that simple. In a way, these "purists" are helping prolong his dominance.

There you go in them feels again.

I done already told you that I dont really care. I take it for what it is. Do I believe in the OVO Concentration Camps? Yeah I do but I also feel like the shyt sounds good becuz he's saying it. shyt probably wouldn't sound right coming from anyone else.

And maybe just maybe he wasn't meant to be anymore "dominant" than he is. You made a post about nikkas getting emotional with their hate for Drake. Do you think your actions are any less emotional with your defense?

Gucci Mane one of my favorite rappers. I dont give a fukk if a nikka think he wack. I bump his shyt and I'm damn sho aint about to argue with nikkas who think he wack.

It's not about feelings. So you can miss me with the condescension. It's about intellectual honesty. You and your cohort are always making blanket statements with little evidence.

That's just me though; I'm naturally a very analytical and logical person - I hate sloppy arguments

If you're gonna hate or be critical of something, judge it by its own factual merits.

But the hip hop world has always suffered from Drake derangement syndrome since the very beginning. Always setting up these impossible expectations designed for the boy to fail - be it sales, bars, chart performance, whatever. And yet, he keeps jumping over those bars.

To me, I think that's where most of the hate for some stems from - his constant demolisment of those traps that are set for him to fail.

Instead of focusing on me, the industry and fans alike would be better served studying what he's going and learning from that shyt. Say whatever you want but dominating for close to a decade now is far from a fluke.

You're a fan, it's definitely about feelings. :heh:

And this isn't court and music isn't necessarily evidence. It's a matter of personal taste and opinion. Some gone like it and some not. I'm judging merely off the last few projects. Them shyts was wack to me. I seriously hadnt enjoyed any of his music since the album with 305 to My City on it.
