Drake has a good ear for what's hot and he's winning because he doesn't limit it to what's hot in the US.

I don't consider him an emcee but he's good at what he does as far as expanding the boundaries of the genre.

Just don't ever come out your mouth tawmbout he's an emcee and I don't have a problem with the nikka

A+ posting

This is not hip hop. Hip hop is not universal. For 1,000,000th time. Hip hop is exclusive to the black experience here in America and no where else.

Because you said so?

UK nikkas sound wack rapping because its not their music. No other group of ppl in the world could have created rap other than Black Americans because it manifests from our history and experience in America.

Hip Hop doesnt exist without Black American culture.

I meant an all time position in the rap game, which to me he was on his way to being prior to the ghostwriting fiasco.
And I agree on the Cole stance but I've always found it interesting about how different the two were in their musical approach.
Not to say that Cole is as versatile or talented as Drake to even pull off being this mainstream but...
How much of Drake's reign is due to his contemporaries deciding not to directly compete with him? :patrice:

Not beef wise, but Cole and Kendrick don't even try to create moments in the culture like Drake does.

Drake "he's not real hip hop" agenda started way before the ghost writer stuff

I still think he will go down as a great but his standing is unique considering he hasn't been a straight rapper. Dude has ran the rap and pop world pretty much at the same time for 8 years no hiatus
