Does Drake make pop songs? Yes. But for every Hotline Bling and In My Feelings he has plenty of traditional rap songs. It’s 2024 not 1993. If that’s the case any rapper post 2008 is a pop artist. Rap is popular music now so expecting artist to move the same way they did 30 years ago is ridiculous. You either adapt or find yourself coming across as an out of touch hater.

I took it to mean Drake chases trends or writes from an “inspired by“ perspective and his music covers every type a Pop Music fan is looking for, hence the Target reference. Target didn't create all the products, but they have them all in one location. Drake didn’t create a style, but he offers them all to you.
