I wouldn't be surprised if X's label told him to do this, to get more attention around his album. Im not in any way dissing X, but labels probably suggest this kind of stuff, to stir up controversey. Like even with that Method Man and Joe Budden thing, I bet Def Jam told Meth to do some interviews about it etc., because its good for album sales.

I HIGHLY doubt that some label exec had to egg DMX on for him to speak his mind on Drake.
