Hella fanned out nikkas in this post picking sides.Objectively speaking he has a case.

Both artists signed to the same label and Universal obviously put gas on Not Like Us. If you know anything about the music business, that means money is being spent. And if he removed a petition to actually sue so his team must feel he has evidence and a case.

To compare apples to apples, it wasn’t that long ago when Back to Back was a thing. Drake and Meek were on entirely different labels and the consensus was that Drake washed Meek. However, Back to Back was not being worked like a single in actual rotation. I’m not talking mixshow or satellite stations where B sides get played.

And to further prove when money is being spent and when it isn’t… look at how GNX came and went.

Great points. A lawyer would NEVER convince their clients that they have a case so that they can prolong things and charge them even more money. Lawyers only care about winning a case and would never drag some shyt out just because.

NY all day..Da Stead & BK..
Calling someone a woman beater who hired a crisis management team to cover it up is grounds for a lawsuit as well. Thats what happens in BATTLE RAP. nikkas go for the lowest of the low to discredit you and make you look bad.
nikkas been saying Pac took it too far for years before this battle. Regardless. This battle was weird af. nikkas was just throwing shyt at the walls hoping it sticks. Kendrick made Drake being a Pedo extremely catchy.

Before this battle started... this was one of the main things I brought up.. These are the two biggest labels in music, so this would actually be an interesting fight... Republic aren't slouches and know when to push a record to radio... I can't see Republic just turning their back on Drake. Drake is their bigges cash cow next to Taylor, so I can't just see them trying to let him hang dry. NLU was really impactful in real time; I don't know if you were around people or text groups when it dropped.

In regards to Back to Back.... 1, that isn't a great of a song as NLU.... Kendrick was smart to craft this song as an anthem that could be played in any setting. 2. The Meek and Drake beef, wasn't as big. People forget how successful Kendrick is, cause he doesn't release much. This was a moment when the 2 biggest urban acts in music were going after each other. The Meek/ Drake beef is what I would call niche in the scheme of the pop world.

GNX is still performing well. Who knows what/how they are using their budget for it, but its been consistent.
