I'm doubling down on my theory that is all about the superbowl and here is why. I dont think his case is that strong unless UMG was very sloppy with the payola cause we all can agree they do it for all their artist including Drake himself (Maybe he doesn't require as much payola as a lessor artist but it probably happens in some form).

But I don't think he cares about winning the case. He will file his lawsuits in sometime in January and because its a defamation lawsuit where he claims his brand is actively being damaged he can ask the judge to prevent sales, plays and distribution of Not like us until the matter is resolved in court. Songs get pulled from streaming services all the time while in active litigation (Normally for people using unauthorized samples etc) so this isnt anything unheard of. But what it will effectively do if he times it right, would prevent Kendrick from performing the song during the superbowl if UMG has to pull it temporarily.
