This has nothing to do with this lol. This was happening well before any beef was in play. Republic and interscope are the 2 biggest labels within the UMG empire. Both are literally headquartered on opposite coasts. The purged the smaller labels under them to save profits and let go of a bunch of employees from the now ‘umbrella” labels. Drake is Republic and republic still generates more than interscope.

So do you think Drake's brand is as valuable as it was a year ago? Drake might have commanded 3/4th of a billion dollars before this beef. He probably can't even get that same 400 million now. He's in a weird position where he can still generate income but his brand is tarnished enough for a substantial discount. He feels this was done purposely by the label, not Kendrick Lamar, hence why he's not suing Kendrick for defamation. I don't see why this is so hard to understand.
