NEWS FLASH nikkaS THIS IS NOT A HIP HOP RAP ALBUM OR WHATEVER YOU ASSUMED BEFORE LISTENING TO IT..

This album is strictly for the Ibiza, south of France, Lagos, Capetown camps bay crowd.. if you know you know.

The only reason I listened is because it’s NOT a hip hop album .

It’s hilarious that nikkas that don’t listen to house,Alt R&B,ghetto tech ,Dance and etc are trying to act this shyt is really hitting . This shyt is made for nikkas like me that actually fw this style of music and don’t fake it

This shyt is a dub,a weedplate ,a drake inspired frisbee.

If nikkas want to actually support good black music in this lane go listen to Aluna,Kelela, ABRA and early Azealia Banks .They could actually use the support and deserve it

Can't believe there's folk in here with capes on talking about South of France & Ibiza

You nikkas don't even listen to House & Caribbean music and even if you were at those places you clearly don't know enough about scenes to even be talking

nikkas is 40 plus trying to flex on message boards :mjlol: clear losers

Anyway this album is like any food convo where you compare fast food from big chains vs the local shops, the quality of the food is just better from the smaller stores because it's what they do. Drake's got Passionfruit & Get It Together (Black Coffee made, Jorja sung, very little Drake) under him but he's not from this world. The production is lackluster and canned, overall just missing energy that House artists tap into. Drake's vocals are absolutely awful and sound worse with autotune, his pen or his tent's pen isn't used to the format which is why he only sounds at home on Sticky.

I like artists branching out to new shyt and Get It Together is my favorite track from him, so I figured I've love this shyt. This was a huge swing & miss and I'm not sure the machine is going to turn it around. nikkas talking about Cannes & Ibiza cut it out, you opened a world map and found those places just yesterday :mjlol:

It's difficult to not judge this album as a rap album because Drake is a rapper first and foremost. And not just that but one of the biggest most praised rappers for a long time now. Yeah I know he sings but his stans will still tell you he is the best and biggest RAPPER for over a decade. Akademiks is saying Kendrick and Cole can't compete with Drake in RAP. So it's a bullshyt excuse for his fans who constantly say he is the best rapper and no one in the game is fukking with him to suddenly go "What, you expect rap from him lol?" when he drops a project. Kinda copout shyt is that? It doesn't matter what genre he's doing, it still is gonna be looked in comparison with his own music and the music of his competition.

But okay fine, I won't judge it as a rap album. I'll judge it as some dance/house/rnb excursion. What makes it good in that regard? His singing is weak and has no energy, his vocal melodies (if you even wanna call them that) are boring and lifeless. The melody on one song is indistinguishable from the melody on another song. It all sounds like one long sleepy ass song that blends into each other. Shouldn't dance music have some passion and energy?

If you’re saying it’s bad music that’ll get play just because it’s Drake then I agree
