This album will get replayed a bunch and played at all the clubs and bars for the summer.

I actually enjoyed listening to this while chilling on my break so far. I've been a fan of the "One Dance" "Controlla" "Passionfruit" Drake so this is a nice one to me.

People saying all Drake sounds the same, so he makes an album that deviates even slightly for something more dance hall vibes and people lose their minds lol
One dance
Controll

Those were not forced
This shyt right here is super super trash

Believe Me flopped? I thought they scrapped the track because Carter V didnt come out for another four years because of contract issues
I mixed that shyt up a bit, but the point still stands. I remember when the Believe Me joint dropped and it didn't blow up like it was supposed to given it was Wayne and Drake. That probably played a part in Birdman holding up the album too. At one point once your name starts cooling down not even the hottest name in the game can save your career anymore. Drake is brave peddling this trash to the public and expecting them to eat it up. If it works, good for him, if it doesn't he might be on his way out. I assume this is "grown man music" for his fans that are moving on in life, but I see right through it. He's a poser that doesn't have the skill nor the creativity to execute what he wanted to do with this album so he just fell back into his familiar lanes and half-assed a terrible album that's masquerading as "new". This shyt is making me hate music.

When I saw that Black Coffee was an exec. producer on this, I anticipated the house sound. Black Coffee is a major South African house DJ (he's produced tracks for him in the past too)

A lot of album sounds like it is inspired by South African House/Amapiano. I like that genre of music, so I wasnt as down on the album as a lot of people. That being said, a lot of Drakes international exploration comes off as a imitation/knock-off of the original which is always far superior.
Ecapsulates a lot of my feelings as well. I think a few Tems, Majid or Party features would have pushed this over the edge. But I appreciate the creative experimentation from him. As well as the main-streaming of Black Coffee’s sound to a wider, more urban audience.
