Sure, there's various types of music being made. But the dominant sound that's in the streets, in the clubs, favored among the masses is trap and rage beats. nikkas ain't playing whatever music you're referring to at parties, cookouts, clubs and events. Trap music is the dominant sound of hip-hop and has been since the mid-2010s. I can't be mad at Drake for trying to shift that

The “streets” are nowhere near reflective of the general population. I have no idea why you are trying to base popularity only on what “the streets” and teenage boys are playing. These are the five most consumed rap songs from a week ago according to Billboard:

Which one of those is a trap song? Just because you guys are posting about Durk 24/7, that does not mean that everyone else is. Even if the Drake project were successful, how would Drake’s project change rap when it is not rap? You say that it is not rap, which it is not, but then you say that it is going to change rap

Falling back is the weakest song on here.

There’s nothing bad about this project

But people want bangers and anthems and quotes and no one does it like Drake so I understand the disappointment

But we got Churchill downs, Wait for you and I’m on one for the summer
There is no way any sane person can listen to those vocals on the opening song and have that opinion

I have no idea why people are in here explaining themselves to these butt hurt Drake stans. It does not matter if you are into house or not, people recognize enthralling music when they hear it. Lil Nas X turned a country-trap song into a phenomenon and got people who are not into country or trap into the song by having the song be catchy/enthralling. Drake stans are just babbling nonsense because they are hurt by the performance/reception, which is even more hilarious because Drake obviously ain’t just put it out for people who are into house or whatever that shyt he put together is

The singing and song writing is horrible. Should of had more songs like sticky, his singing only sounds good on stripped down beats like Down Hill. Pitbull and Flo Rida actually rap there verses and hire singers for the high notes.

I ain’t want to go there, but Flo-Rida’s and Pitbull’s dance songs from the 2010 sound way better than whatever that shyt Drake put out. It is even more ironic because they got so much negativity for their songs being generic, and the ones in here trying to push this Drake shyt as an “experimental masterpiece” probably are some of the same ones who give those shyt about their dance projects

You're right about that bro. I shouldn't have to explain myself. I just dont like it when someone popular taps into the underground scene such as house all of a sudden his fans are house heads. Ya know good and well half of yall dont check for house music like that.

The excuses for this album reminds me of when Watch The Throne dropped, and you had dudes saying stuff like “you need to be on a private jet to Europe and an avid reader of 48 Laws Of Power to really get this album”.

Someone tell that weirdo Elon to stop worrying about silly space shyt and find a way to prevent anyone from posting online about something until it's existed for at least a month. Troll culture would be in shambles and the world would be a better place. Imagine half the fukkbois on this site alone furiously crying in the shower on day 29 waiting to get their Drake takes off :heh:

he sounds terrible on that track and the repetitive hook with tho song droning vocals is just bad. Arguably the worst song on an album I actually enjoy to some degree.
I said it was the weakest song. Its thought down tremendously by that outro

It also has the weakest beat but maybe I don’t get it. The beat never crescendo nor does it drop. The switch in tempo in the song is Drakes falsetto

What genre is Falling back suppose to be?
