Both killed it, Drake can really rap his ass off when he want to.

Pretending he Jamaican and British is :mjlol: but working with these UK artists like he been in recent years is smart. #2 music market in the world and they got a thriving hip hop scene that the US don't fukk with at all, he can ride that wave here and look original

He is affiliated with a lot of criminals though both in his country and in Texas and NO, doesn’t mean he commits crimes himself. People kinda forget that he’s been affiliated with these people since he was like 20, and he’s 37 now, that’s almost half of his life and all of his grown life.

Just last year he said
“To be real, man, I never did one crime
But none of my brothers could caption that line”

I don’t understand why people think that being affiliated or connected with some street guys is some Hollywood movie shyt, no street dudes ever call him out for it. Not even the ones dissing him like Pusha. Rather the contrary, people in Toronto calling him out for not coming through those parts anymore

@Piff Perkins Kendrick needs to come outside cause he ain’t bodying shyt like this. I can imagine Cole crucifying this beat but Kendrick..….
:patrice:

Drake is a lot more versatile than Kendrick. Drake can do basically any style and sound good

But Kendrick dominate a lane that Drake never could so it evens out

I would love for Drake to do a whole project where he on this time though. Actually Drake doing a UK album with UK all star guest lineup would be crazy

I mean...I agree with you. At one point sure, Kendrick would body that shyt. Talent wise he still can I'm sure. I just don't think he's in that mindset or even cares about rap to that point anymore. And a lot of it is Keem, man. Never gonna forget that tweet of him saying him and Kendrick were creating new languages because rap was old/boring. This was like 3 years ago. Ehhh. Dunno what's going on but I hope it's just this particular era (Mr. Morale/ghostwriting for Keem) and whatever comes next will get the train back on track. But we haven't even got a feature in the last year that calmed me down. The Hillbillies shyt wasn't bad, he was flowing on there at least. But it was trivial compared to Cole or Drake features.

I hope somebody snaps him out of this shyt but I'm not sure the people he's surrounded with now are that. Say what you will about how poorly TDE is run but Punch would have Kendrick focused on bars. I don't think Dave Free gives a shyt about that...
