I thought it was a good track as a diss to everyone else, but for me the Kendrick bars fell mostly flat (short jokes) and then the big shocker (alleged domestic abuse by Kenny) was more of a because it was so out of left field and had no evidence to support it.

Everything in a diss record doesn't have to be true, but the bars resonate more if the claim is at least plausible or likely based on what we know about the artist's life.

Tbh Drake had no chance. Even though Family Matters is weak, Kendrick literally dropped the greatest track ever, and potentially another top 5 diss song the same week. It was over.
