He wat at 60mil monthly streamers on Spotify before Like That dropped - mor than any rapper besides Drake. The idea that he was struggling or bombed out before this is a joke.
Kendrick has the benefit of Interscope stream farming (which was proven during the beef). He had ZERO buzz before “Like That”. Even on here there were no threads in 2024 discussing ANYTHING he was doing prior to Like That. Hell there were barely any in 2023.

People don’t want to be honest that his music isn’t listenable like that. They listen for 2 days, call it a classic, then never listen again.

No one was talking about him in the recent mainstream prior to Like That. That can’t be disproven.

So Interscope stream farms, but the parent label (which Drake is also signed to) does not? fukkouttahere

Like a lot of fans of microwave music you guys seem generally offended at the idea of someone having fans who regularly listen to their music whether they have new shyt out or not. Be that listening to hits, album cuts, etc. Not only was Kendrick the second most streamed rapper he's consistently backed up his popularity with sold out arena tours. This isn't some trend rapper who gets questionable streams and then can't sell out a venue. There is no real world basis for what you're saying.

"His music isn't listenable like that" yet he has multiple multi-plat albums, what the fukk are you talking about.

Also talking about nobody was talking about Kendrick while also acknowledging he ain’t out shyt really since the last album. Well no shyt nobody was talking about him cause he stays out of the spotlight until album time. This ain’t Drake that has to stay putting out singles or guest features to try and keep his name hot.

I really think this song hits different impact wise if he makes each verse a separate drop or release. Or if you were going to combine then combine verse 1 and 3 and just take out 2. Focus solely on Kendrick. He may still lose the battle but I just think it hit differently

been saying since the day this dropped that verse two is the best part of the song :fire: :heh:
