no, but drake never battled anyone who wasn't THAT FAR off from him popularity wise. there's absolutely nothing far fetched about kendrick having better numbers in this battle seeing that kendrick has the disses that are being accepted way more than drakes for one, and seeing that kendrick actually outsold drake before when he went full commercial with damn in 2017. this isn't pusha t or meek mill

At this point he's done it in every battle he's been in. It's a deliberate strategy. It rattled Meek and led to a weak response. But it clearly enraged Pusha and Kendrick.

When you add up the bars spent on Ross/Metro/Future/Rocky/Abel/Cash XO/etc and the bars spent on Kendrick gossip/ducktales, not a lot was spent really getting at him. I'm not a Drake fan but if I was in his camp I'd be telling him you NEED a track focused entirely on Kendrick. Not on other nikkas, or on crying about the battle sounding like Jay (Heart 6). Just bars at this dude. And I'm not sure the hypocrite bars work when Kendrick already addressed that on his own album (Mr Morale). Hypocrite bars didn't really hurt Nas either...that shyt doesn't work against great rappers because the greatest rappers tend to be contradictory. Pac is a thug and a conscious militant. Nas is the street guy and the prophet. Common is the corner drunk and the thinker. The only rappers vulnerable to being called hypocrites are one note rappers.

I'd also tell Drake you can't try to replicate Not Like Us. Chasing a hit while dissing a dude is like walking on ice, especially when you're doing it in HINDSIGHT. Kendrick did that shyt by accident, it wasn't planned. I'd imagine they knew it would be a banger and set the west coast on fire but there's no way they thought it would be this huge.

So now u coming closer to my point. Drake became a literal Mega star after his battle with Meek. Now let's put this together. Kendrick outstreaming Drake during this battle isn't abnormal. Drake streaming so much less than he usually does on average to the point people aren't even engaging in his side of the battle is abnormal. Very. Point of this. Both these nikkas are 2 different sides of the same coin. Both have industry interest but for different reasons. Do u think this same thing would be happening if Drake was battling Cole and Cole was beating him?
