The shyt ain't been a fair battle bruh. On Push Ups Drake was addressing a bunch of people it was the set off. Between that and Euphoria I gave Kendrick the edge but it wasn't a knockout punch to me. By the time Drake got to Family Matters it was like he might as well not even had dropped anything because the Kendrick dikkriding was in full effect.
Drake should’ve focused on only Kendrick. He made that choice. He should’ve saved the other disses for later.

It’s just a rap battle. He’ll be okay and drop some no. 1 hits this fall. Lol.

Objectively, I went back and listened and read the lyrics… the song is good, but it’s not some nuke like ovo were saying lol. No catchphrases, nothing really memorable. It’s good, but as Jada said, not enough.

I’ll stand by my statement that this battle was done once “euphoria” dropped.

Schooling people takes forever; don't bother
weeknd hates drake because he almost signed his life away to become the main ovo sweatshop writer

he got a good look for writing fake care and bounced to republic the minute he could escape to freedom from this modern day sharecropping

how many ovo sharecroppers never made it out and got bushed? partynextdoor, quentin miller, shyt i don't follow drake's ghostwriters but there's a litany

of course weeknd is justified to feel a certain type of way and drake petty as hell

weeknd donated bread to whole countries and is bankrolling his signees with release dates long before ovo had 4bats go solo....drake only coughs up donation money when the public demands him to do so, and not from the goodness of his heart because that boy's a heathen looking for public validation and is too busy laundering underground toronto money with his 20 shell companies

drake just bitter because he sees all weeknd streams as his own, ole insecure ass white bred dissing singers like he's eminem :scusthov:

Lol, I've been saying since day one, this will be Jay and Nas.... Jay did the same thing in "Takeover" and was going at mad people and called out Nas on there.... Nas said 'bet' and dropped a bomb just talking to him like his son for a full song, hook and all.

This battle was over after "Euphoria"

Yeah basically by Drake in the song when he said you better have some confirmed paperwork or it’s fake tea. The instagram story of him instantly joking about the fake daughter story. You remember Drake felt betrayed by Kanye because he went to Wyoming to write on Kanye’s album and he confided into him about the whole son thing. If you remember before this Sofieknowsbetter ran to the blogs to say she was pregnant by Drake. Then magically a few months later she suddenly silenced and her IG is scrubbed. She does a rebrand like Pusha T said cleaned her up for IG bar. That’s how you know Drake becomes part of her life. No negativity comments about all positive things since then. Drake is signed to Jordan brand, his deal is up and Nike wants to resign him but Kanye convinced him to sign with Adidas. The whole Adidas line is based around his son and named after him. Basically the same thing he’s doing right now with Nike under a different name NOCTA. Drake tells Kanye his release date in exchange for Drake working on Ye I hate being bipolar album. Kanye give Drake the lift yourself beat it’s supposed be on Drake’s Scorpion album. All of sudden out the blue Kanye drops the lift yourself beat with him just saying poopity scoop on it then he announced he was dropping a bunch of albums around Drake’s release date Pusha T, Nas, Kanye, Teyana Taylor and Kids see ghost all stepping Drake June release date. Then the first album of GOOD Music rollout was Daytona which featured a Drake diss called Infrared produced by Kanye. Drake is wondering why Kanye keep fukking with him. He drops Duppy freestyle it confused people because they were wondering why the song felt aimed more towards Kanye than Pusha T. They didn’t know the backstory. Mind you Drake is done with Scorpion before Duppy freestyle. He record 4 new tracks afterwards to put on Scorpion with jabs that only Kanye would catch the tracks were I’m Upset, 8 out of 10, Nonstop and Mob ties. Pusha T responded with Story of Adidon with all the information Kanye told him in Wyoming about Sofieknowsbetter, the son and the adidas rollout. The rest is history. Drake records another diss track with a couple jabs at Pusha T but more of exposing Kanye secrets type track aimed more towards his direction. Typical Drake fashion he sends the track to close friends and J Prince gets wind of the track. He shuts it down. He doesn’t think it’s a good lock for Drake to get so personal towards Kanye on a record. He get Drake and Kanye together they shake hands and you get the famous picture of Kanye with his eyebrows shaved off in front of the embassy. They agree to do a benefits concert where the funds would go to Larry Hoover defense fund. Drake is a hip hop head influenced by Little brother and Kanye, he knows not releasing that song is automatic loss. Drake never does interviews he does two interviews(Rap Radar&Lebron’s The Shop) out of the blue to soften the blow to make it seem like he’s trying be the bigger man but the street politics is the real reason that song never saw the light of day. Kanye goes on his press run singing Drake’s praise on Drink Champs. Pusha T feels like Kanye used him in this situation and he disassociates himself from Kanye and step down as the president of GOOD Music. Drake and Kanye goes on to do the show in LA for Larry Hoover they walk down the Coliseum stair together hugging each other. They let bygones be bygones. Kendrick jabs at that situation on Father Time on the Big Steppers album. Fast forward J Cole and Drake getting tighter J Cole raps about watch he got gifted his birthday from Drake and Drake let’s him use pipe down beat from Certified Lover Boy for his Mixtape the day before Dreamville. J Cole raps about being in 3rd place and receiving the bronze but feeling he’s the best. Fast forward J Cole been a crazy feature run where he’s just rapping about him being the best. Drake hits J Cole for a feature for his All The Dogs album. J Cole sees this as an opportunity to get his get back for Drake out rapping him on Jodeci Freestyle and In the morning. J Cole was the one who reached out to Kendrick to get on the track because he wanted to out rap the two nikkas he was constantly compared too. Which J Cole confirmed on the Lil Yachty podcast when he was asked about Joe Budden comments on him outrapping Drake. Now let’s get to Metro, Drake was in Atlanta working on Her Loss with 21 Savage. Metro helps produce on the album and Drake lays a verse for Metro Heroes album. Drake fukks a chick Metro is in love with. Metro is hurt he tells Future is dissing you on More M’s which Metro produced. This triggers Future because he already felt a way about Drake not finishing What A Time to be Alive 2 because Life is Good, Desires and Big Mood were tracks that was supposed to be on What A Time to Be Alive 2. Now he sees Drake sneak dissing him. Metro tells his manager CashXO his issues with Drake. Cash and Abel already don’t like Drake. They form this plan to buy people from Drake’s inner circle with whips, chains and money. They getting feed inside information from the OVO source. They know about Kendrick declining to featured on First Person Shooter because he don’t like Drake. They recruited Kendrick to diss Drake. Kendrick felt like there was sneak disses in First Person Shooter so he agreed to get on Like That. They rollout a whole album around dissing Drake. A little birdie gets in Drake’s ear gets wind of the plan and he drops scary hours 3 mental warfare with a bunch of jabs they would only know, like on Red Button he saying I know what y’all trying to do don’t make me go there with yall. They disregard those threats because they feel confident with the OVO mole so they go forward with the plan. They drop the We don’t trust you album with a bunch of Drake disses. Drake is confused because he feels it’s all out blitz and they know his next move. He wonders who is Cash and Abel inside source. Initially Drake wanted to go on vacation after he finished the tour but with this blitz and how big Like That record got he had no choice but to address it. First things first he got to find out who the mole is. So he sends out multiple rough versions of Push ups with slightly different wording on different beats. Cash and Abel get a version of Push Ups and leak it. The Weeknd posted the IG story of him laughing with the popcorn letting Drake we two steps ahead of you. Metro drop picture of him, The Weeknd and Future saying the biggest 3 letting Drake know we stepped on your diss track. They played into Drake’s hand by exposing who the mole was by leaking that track. That’s why when it leaked people heard the rough mix and thought it was AI. Drake and his people dealt with the mole on some street politics shyt. Now OVO and Drake are back feeling good, they put some money into them LA streets and found a bunch of information about Kendrick. That’s why on the final version of Push Ups he begging Kendrick to drop. Kendrick get the info about Drake getting info about his family from his fake OVO mole and wanted to get ahead of it. Of course Kendrick stepped on that by saying Drake is lying but in reality them LA nikkas was willing to talk way more than them Virginia Beach nikkas. Drake saw Kendrick take the bait with planted briefcase and once Kendrick mentioned his son name he knew he had him because before people was like you went too far by mentioning Pusha T’s fiancé and they was like Drake going too far Whitney bodyguard line. But he basically letting Kendrick know I know your secrets. Drake hinting at it the video with Easter eggs like you better have confirmed paperwork for that fake. The happy co-parenting and happy divorce cake that whole video directed towards Kendrick. That’s why Drake made that IG story about joking about the fake daughter and liked that IG comment. You been set up. Drake basically saying we kinda alike. You trying shyt on me saying this culture vulture who refuses to grow up who want live this bachelors lifestyle and fukk a bunch of bytches. Meanwhile you you propose to your fiancé in 2015 you refuse to marry her. You got her in LA with your kids(one of them not yours) and you living your best life in NY in your bachelor pad fukking a bunch of white bytches while claiming to be this pro black Messiah with a mixed queen. Who never did shyt for Compton. Basically Drake is calling Kendrick one of them pro black militant nikkas on the Coli who post in the locker room. All words no actions. Be honest if Drake had an 11 year old daughter hidden somewhere it’ll be breadcrumbs everywhere with Kendrick’s money he would easily be able to confirmed that.

When has a mainstream rap battle “EVER” been fair? There’s always someone with more momentum, hits, power, ect and an underdog. Nas wasn’t in a “fair” battle with Hov and STILL knocked his ass out while taking on the rest of Roc-A-Fella, Dip Set, and Queensbridge By HIMSELF

Meek and Drake weren’t in a “fair” battle. Whole ass juggernaut corporations came out in support of Drake while Meek was floundering. He even got sued for sampling in his own response. Meek still had to do what he had to do and he failed miserably at it.

Push wasn’t in a “fair” battle with Drake in 2018. The OG story of addinon was creeping up on 2 million views when Drake had it snatched down. Push STILL knocked his ass out

Drake had all the money, writers, and opportunity to make his battle with Kendrick as “unfair” as it was for Meek. It was just that Kendrick was a superior tactician and able to galvanize HIS fanbase in the way that Drake would have normally galvanized his. Drake thought his tried and true “I’ll use his woman against him” angle would win the day and he had no backup plan. So when Kendrick drops Meet The Grahams Drake has no rebuttal, which is he went on the defensive instead of staying on offense. Then Kendrick drops Not Like Us and has the whole world vibing to a song calling him a pedophile. Kendrick took Drake’s “club hit diss song” tactic and used it against him.

We really can’t be talking about whats “fair” and not “fair” in a battle. Many MC’s have done far more in worse circumstances than Drake. Game was kicked off his label and being openly blackballed by 50 when he went at G-Unit for dolo. Ja Rule had his label fighting Rico charges and the entire industry at his neck but at least managed one mighty swipe at Em that got him in his feelings. Drake took an L because of several factors but “fairness” shouldn’t be any excuse for him when he’s benefited from that same unfairness in the past
