this is true.
but if the culture doesnt accept you you not really accepted. dont care about the bullshyt whites & corporations be trying to push. they dont and shouldnt dictate what is acceptable to hip hops standard. drake is a pop star he cant be the face of rap.

By "the culture" you mean online forums because people in the actual culture do accept him and celebrate/anticipate him. So many legends came out and showed love his last tour.
I've seen so many legends recently embrace him (Nas put him in his current top 5, NORE says he's a lengend etc etc) and his features in the culture are still valued.

A lot of the Drake hate is online pushed and doesn't resonate in real life when it comes down to it.

This dude wants Drake to be a revolutionary, fake deep and stop talking about his actual real life experiences:mjlol:
Breh not even you're too busy with your stannery to recognize a valid point. I'm not saying he needs to be a fake revolutionary, I'm just saying it's a stretch to call him an "elite" writer when his substance and subject matter if far from it. How deep does he even go into his own experiences though? Dude is not a compelling storyteller at all, it's all bravado, fake sadness about some girls, or his wannabe rags to riches story. He wanna be lowkey mafia boss in one song then be supersimp 3000 over a dancehall beat the next. No matter what he does it's all very surface level shyt and he hasn't shown any growth in that regard despite being on top for almost 10 years now. He's the epitome of a "safe" songwriter (if you're even willing to call him that after myriads of ghostwriting & biting allegations)

@OnlyInCalifornia with these trash surface level examples :laff:

Please can I ask your spin on people even confirming they've seen Drake write songs, Drake writing songs for others and his writing history?

All lies right?

Obviously he could tell people things and they write about it. I tend to think he is responsible to most of his verses but we'll never know.

I didn't know Drake and Future went back like that.

LOL @WickedGames clearly spinning around trying so hard to not address clear examples cuz he's a male groupie. We see the games of not quoting proof so you don't have to address it. This aint everyone's first time on The Coli :dead:

Yup, Drake couldn't tell people what things they should mention. There is no possible way for a ghost writer to know about someone's past. Just impossible brehs!

Shouts to Puffy for writing this song!

He's an elite writer because he's written music that has dominated black music for 7 years of good quality (this is why Jay, Nas, Andre 3k, Ghost so many legends have came out and acknowledged even if you don't see it).
And some of the most legendary musicians have written only about love so I don't know what your angle is. Dude makes honest music about himself and you want him to make some BS stories to impress you

:sas2:

Your examples are trash.
Now your angle is now "yeah Drake does have input but he tells the ghost writers what to write"

Nicca this ain't high level "write about my pain about my mother" shyt in his music. He literally has bars about conversations in details and occurances.

Your imaginary Drake ghost writer is the best writer in history :pachaha: Especially relating to Drake many bars relative to his parents

Yeah people can have that opinion but at the same time more people will put him down as a legend than anybody 99% of rappers out regardless.
You can't talk hip hop 2010-now without bringing up Drake.

And lets no act like there wasn't a strong drake opposition even before the writing sh*t. Dudes always hated him
"He ain't real hip hop!"

HAHAHA Trash examples? Breh you bolded some lyrics where he mentioned a sorority like some kind of British version of Ronnie the Multi-king. Your entire first post is the most pathetic attempt to defend a rapper on this website with 'evidence'

You were handed multiple songs where people talked about their past experience where they did not write the lyrics themselves. You are handed reference tracks to multiple songs and still deny that he doesn't write most of his music. Guys like PartyNextDoor and The Weeknd talk about him taking their songs...

You are visibly upset about the ghost writing, you've been making these threads monthly for a few years now. You are in love with Drake and we all know know love blinds people. It's okay lil breh.
