So many disingenuous ass arguments being made in here.

:skip: at expecting to hear growth from an artist that's in the double digit projects range.

:leostare:What does inspired Drake music sound like? What does Drake challenging himself sound like?

:beli:Drake is sticking to his formula. Why wouldn't he? Especially when creating an album. He has been wildly successful making music for his entire fanbase, why would he switch it up to only make music to appease to a certain subset of his base.

Thecoli houses some of the fakest hip-hop heads known to man. Y'all be sounding ridiculous asf. We know who Drake is and the music he is going to make. Not sure why anyone came into this project expecting to hear something different. That's on y'all.

Because he’s being directly compared to Kanye who’s album also just dropped and sounds light years ahead and better than Drake who many think is the best rapper of this generation

. The album called Certified Lover Boy and people complaining that he's singing too much, can't make this shyt up lol.

I dunno I feel like Bryson Tiller out Drakes-Drake when it comes to the r&b trap sing rap

Plus a lot of people are good at this style of music now and are just as good at it

Drake might need to adapt to set himself apart from the crowd

Kanye rented two stadiums, lived in there for like a whole month, 3 concerts, set himself on fire, got elevated like Owen hart, brought Kim Kardashian on a wedding dress and had a bunch of people “mad at him” to create buzz. Drake Dropped a picture with 12 emojis and waited till a day before the album came out for those billboards to pop up and still Smoked him.

I think you’re overlooking the fact that Kanye is rapping about Jesus now

Considering this, he is definitely overachieving and winning

Drake is the same old drake he don’t need to earn listeners or new fans

If you wasn’t a fan of Drake before I don’t think you will be listening to this album.

as a fan, I was pleased. It didn’t seem rushed . Thought it was better than Scorpion & Views. It’s kinda a mixture of IYRTITL & NWTS.

I kept 11/21. which is one of my complaints with Drake is his album lengths. Bout time I reached track 15, I was already losing interest. But I’ll give it a 7.5/10 . TSU, Pipe Down, & N 2 Deep are some classic records
:yeshrug:

His beat selection has gotten better I always felt he thrived more on Memphis type beats, wished we would’ve gotten Tay Keith.

But People gotta realize this man is already stamped into music history, he has been the biggest artist in Hip Hop for atleast 10 years. If you wasn’t gonna like him before you’re not gonna like him now & I think he realizes that, which is pleasing to his fans cuz he keeps the same formula that works. The stuff his non fans complain about like “same subject matter, injustice issues, generic beats, pandering” etc. is the stuff us as his fans don’t care about coming from Drake. We don’t expect to hear sum shyt J.Cole would rap about coming from him & we don’t wanna hear it :mjlol:
