No dog in this race, but I assume his point is there are millions of songs that Drake could’ve sampled, but he chose to sample music from a guy who is a defendant in a high profile disturbing case.

Yeah, it's a valid criticism imo. Not gonna be a huge deal to most ppl but he has a point, especially doing so right now.

But he's reaching saying millions are now gonna go play that song.

Well for one Drake didn't make the beat and two Kelly isn't making any money off this. If anything the criticism should be directed to the producer.

It's very possible Drake didn't even recognize the sample, a lot of these rappers just hear a song and just get to vibing.

I’ll say this cause I think Drake makes good music... Em, I really believe he didn’t use ghostwriters and tried to craft everything himself; on top of getting sober, I think it killed his creativity, as fuked up as it sounds.

Ye, legit went crazy after his mother died and was surrounded by Yes men. His last decent project was Yeezus, and that album was more about his ideas than his songwriting. Feel like he got obsessed with trying to continue to push boundaries and his praise from critics.

Relapse was Eminem’s first album back and the creativity on there was A1. The problem is, he let people bully him into not trusting his instincts and Interscope wanted him to become a big star again. That's how we got Recovery. There's no way you go from a horrorcore album produced entirely by Dr. Dre to a stadium pop rock album in one year, unless someone gets in your ear and tells you that you need to change things.

I really feel like there's an alternate universe where Eminem says "fukk the critics," drops Relapse 2, and becomes an underground rapper again talking about crazy shyt and working with guys like Alchemist, Sid Roams, and Madlib. He's more comfortable doing stuff like that, but the reaction to Relapse still fukks with him to this day.

Rap is corny as fukk these days

The fact that there's grown men listening to these type of bars, feeling emotional and posting about it just blows my mind

*bumps Kool G Rap 4,5,6 and Benny's Pyrex Picasso"

I haven't listened to the full album yet but what I heard sounds very ....

Bland . Blah.. meh.. play once and move on

I can't understand how people like Drake and Eminem can have such fire verses and collabs but I only like one album between them

Extra credit if anyone can guess which one

relapse was dope and def had its moments. Last Em album I loved. My issue with that album is that damn accent. His voice as a whole also had some changes, but it’s the last album from his where I still loved his flow... after that his flowdamn near died.

Am I the only one who thinks there’s no traditional single on this album? Drake usually stays with a huge single that takes over the airwaves, but I legit can’t think of one
I believe he may push 'I'm 2 Sexy' cause there's a video for that. Also No Friends In The Industry I feel could be one that the streets fukk with

I think he did a video for “way 2 sexy” because it has the most meme-ability. Like I can see a “2 sexy” challenge blowing up on tik tok soon
