Is it just me or is this album missing that classic R&B Drizzy track? More Life had Teenage Fever, Views had Fire & Desire, Scorpion had Peak and also Jaded, and Dark Lanes Demo Tapes had Not You Too.

I'm hearing a lot of complaints of it sounding the same as all his prior work, but to be honest, 99.99% of rappers have a signature sound and when they stray away from it the results are usually terrible or underwhelming. I guess if you're saying his content can grow and expand more, I can see that and agree to an extent. But as far as the switching up the sound production wise, that's not really fair to expect that. And Drake switches up his flows and delivery.

I always thought being diverse in rap can be overrated, and a lot of fans just say it because they think it's what you're suppose to say. It's only dope if you're dope at multiple styles, which most rappers rarely are. It's like taking a player who scores in the paint and trying to make him a 3 point shooter. Sure, you can do that and make his game more "diverse", but if he's shooting 20% from the field doing it, is him being "diverse" really a good thing? No.

Stop the slurp. Other Drake projects had plenty of variation. This is just lethargic all the way through

the issue is 40. his production style and how he overseas drakes projects just isnt dynamic enough. you.

you look at all the other all time great producers from premier to sermon to dilla to tip to havoc to lil jon to shawty redd etc they had a sound but overtime you can sit back and go through their catalog and see advancement. 40 doesnt do that. its the high pitched sample shyt or the bit depth manipulation shyt he does to make it sound low passed and dont forget the muffled drum sound like on the remorse.

but just like the rest of the game its to the point they dont have to do anything different cus drake brand is so big his projects will have upfront success because of his name which seems to be what the industry cares about.

album is going to do 350-400 something thousand first week. drop a couple videos and its plat in the first month. if the business model works no need to tweak it. even tho from an art perspective its bankrupt.
