Why does drake care so much about what Budden has to say :gucci: I don’t get these dudes relationship

Budden is one of those rappers that Drake came up on. His style is influenced by Budden.

But yes, Budden is a has-been even in the podcast world. Drake and Akademiks are the only things keeping him semi-relevant. If they stopped giving him attention, he'll be back shooting a season of reality television for VH1 or WE TV.

Drake is a petty gawd . He constantly disses in captions and the person he disses usually sees it and is like ugh !!! I’m angry lol but the outside public just speculates

So no smoke for the nikka that packed his ass up. Still going after a retired rapper :martin:
That sexy redd joint and the hey there deliliah remix were terrible.

Drake might as well go into podcasting at this point.

He could have YouTube circle jerks with Ak, Bobbi altoff, and 1090 jakes.

This has been the problem from jump and a huge reason why he lost. Incorporating too many nikkas. Muddying the waters. Worried about the wrong nikkas instead of going after the nikka that everyone says it's probably better than you.

Yes, the biggest (or 2nd biggest depending on how you feel about the Swifteeeeeeeees) artist in the world should give up making music and do a podcast because somebody on the internet using his name and doctored picture on a D-list message board hip-hop sub forum said so. Ya'll really have no grips on reality sometimes :mjlol:

Both them songs you mentioned are definitely trash, and Dot washed him on this battle. But he will drop more formulaic popular-sound-of-the-moment music soon enough, the masses will eat it up, and everyone besides Faux Coli Militants will move on. Just like how things went after my GOAT King Push washed him the last time :manny:

This was by design. :heh: 's ego is so big i'm sure he thought he would easily wash Kendrick, but as a fail safe he went at 20 rappers on every song so he could say "I was battling everyone and held my own :whoa: " as an escape hatch. Dot humiliated him, but he definitely clowned all the other jokers who tried to hop on the wave (Metro, Ross, Rocky, Weeknd).

I wasn't being serious with that comment.

Or not totally serious at least.

Clowning those other dudes means absolutely nothing. Metro makes beats. Future ain't that kinda rapper. Ross ain't on that level no more. Rocky don't even rap anymore. And Weeknd is a singer and honestly I think that beef is deeper than music.

Drake was a budden Stan before he blew up, Drakes whole style is lifted from Joe, witty punchlines weaved into a mix of introspective/pity me bars on tracks about relationship drama and family life…with the odd “club” song thrown in (drake is clearly better than Joe with the latter)…Drake pretends it doesn’t but it clearly hurts his feelings whenever Joe criticises him

To go further than this tho, it goes both ways, in the sense that Joe is clearly bitter that drake became the biggest rapper in the world based of his whole style, same way Lupe is clearly bitter about Kendrick and goes out of his way to shyt on Kendrick whenever possible….Kendrick has been a top 5 biggest rapper for a decade now, and his whole style is “not street but grew up in the streets lyrical miracle rapper who releases concept albums with crossover appeal”…sounds like someone else right?

Joe & Lupe both watched two other rappers use their whole aura to become two of the biggest rappers of all time when they were barely scraping gold/platinum 15 years ago with the same exact content
