A good video for people that haven't played DD1/on the fence as they speak on some of the game mechanics that got people tripped up.
Safe to watch even if you're planning on going in blind.

Good looks! I tend to go through games picking up everything I can find (Fallout habit). Had no idea it affected gameplay in that way.

And playing DD1 for a couple hours, that night time shyt is true. If you set your darkness level correctly, and have HDR, you can't see shyt.

Just pre-ordered from Fanatical

"Dragon's Dogma 2 currently has high demands on hardware, with the Steam Deck struggling to run at playable rates and even high-end machines of an RTX4090 paired with an AMD 5800X3D CPU can drop into the 30s whilst in the denser populated towns."

Might be another situation where we gotta let them cook for a while after release to make the game perform well.

Same as the first game

So seems this is a must cop for me, but only after I see some performance stability. I don't mind not having the best graphics, but it needs to be playable at least. Else it's gonna have to wait to whenever I feel like upgrading

I have an AMD Ryzen 9 7900X 4.7GHz Processor, NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4080 SUPER 16GB GDDR6X and 32GB DDR5-5600 RAM.

If I can't hit 60 FPS with that then I'm going to the next Capcom showcase and putting hands on random employees. Somebody gotta pay.

Fred.

looking like this is gonna be like BG3 where performance is worse in high population areas. even the 14700KF hitting 34fps :picard:

I can deal with a janky city, if combat in the open world still has decent performance. but hopefully they can improve on all of this

I think there's an overall question about if all these features are needed if they lead to bad performance. I guess the real question is, is 30fps still an acceptable target for a modern AAA game (with no 60fps 'performance mode')?

Seems to be the pawn system + no loading screen open world is really demanding and I don’t think that will be the case for MH unless MH will be open world :lupe:

I can see this. Having my pawn randomly loot shyt around me was a shock. I'm picking up flowers and this nikka right next to me scooping up shyt. Breaking crates looking for loot. Had me like wtf
