I assumed Goku was just holding back to not make Krillin look like a chump in front of his family...

How do you hold back when you do a charged Kamehama in your most power transformation?

I hope folks can now understand why you would need someone like Kuririn, Tien, or Roshi who are skilled and mature martial artists, rather than Goten or Trunks. It isn't always about all out physical power.

I like this krillin thread a lot. His experience and teamwork will be a huge asset to the battle, including him focusing on ring. I'm interested in what he can do now.

This was an outstanding episode. Oddly, one of my favorites ever because of the Goku krillin dynamic going back decades. Real dope.

Goku is getting relatively evil step by step. Super Saiyan Blue is corrupting him or something. Dude didn't give a fukk about hurting Krillin in the moment, and even said the three of them can face him..And he didn't calm down until he turned back.

he did need to do it....the point wasnt to beat krillen, but to make krillen face the fear of going against someone that powerful...you saw how krillen leg started shaking, and he was about to fold just cause of the transformation....well, in the tourney, he gonna go against muthafukkas that strong that arent his friend, so there is no time for doubt....

I won't be surprised of if the whole Universe gets wiped out thing is just a lie and was Goku's idea. I think Goku wanted to see what it felt like to be a villain cuz he created this narrative that he is evil.
