It's more like he and Vegeta completely switched personalities. His ego is getting bigger and bigger and he has no interest in doing anything else but fight and will do anything to chase a worthy opponent. Meanwhile Vegeta is out chea spending time with baby mama and not even training right now.

Goku has been on this bullshyt for a minute though....Look at how he behaved during the Cell Games, he gave Cell a Senzu bean because he was so confident Gohan would body him and he wanted to see a good fight. During the whole thing with Majin Buu Goku was playing around, he held back during his fight with Vegeta and didn't take out Majin Buu when he had the chance because he wanted the kids to do it. Hell even after the fight with Kid Buu Goku was asking King Yema to resurrect him at some point just so he could have a good fight.

Goku has been a bum ass stupid muthafukka, it's just people forget how he was originally portrayed in the manga.

I think that actually might be the point....

Remember that initially Toriyama wanted to keep Goku dead and push Gohan as the lead character in the series, but fans of Goku loved the character so much they weren't having it so Gohan got the shaft so Goku could be brought back.

If Toriyama was going to push another character as the lead the best way to do it would be to make Goku unlikable and set him up as the most hated being in the multiverse for a good reason.

When you really think about it Goku is sort of like Majin Buu, it's scary to have one the most powerful beings in the universe also being a fukking moron, because this is the sort of shyt that happens because of it.

I just hope that over the course of this arc Gohan gets his time to shine and Piccolo gets a significant upgrade in power.

they were going to do it anyway and goku proposing the fight gave them a good reason to do it while giving one of the universes a chance to save themselves which they wouldnt have had otherwise

The part I don't get is I thought he'd get super saiyan aids if he spams thr kaiokens blue too often, but could be more Tori forgetful writing. He's used it in every arc since he discovered it.

Or it might just be that they're shocked by the transformations and their ability to raise their power levels at will. Apparently it's not common in other universes for fighters to "power up" in that way or have transformations.
