SOHH ICEY MONOPOLY
Of course not. Movie and the power up was mid. To be expected that Gohan would be the one to bring down the new franchise movie lineup. Yet another L for Gohan stans. This shyt felt like the old noncanon movies mixed with filler. shyt is Garlic Junior status.
:mjlol:

Yooooo Im glad Im not the only one that got old Z movie vibes from this one

The Beerus joint, Return of F and Broly are all blassics... this shyt not so much but I do like Orange Piccolo with the gigachad chin so its not utter trash

just a minor setback for a major comeback

Gohan been that dude and still is. One of the only DBZ character with character development

Gohan doesn't get enough credit. He works full time, is a great father and husband, and still manages to (albeit temporary) keep up with Goku and Vegeta. He'd leave them in the dust if he trained like they do.

Was about to let another man have a go at his wife
Mr Satan pays for all his shyt

Gohan ain't a real man.

When over 90% of anime is based on manga and the industry is thriving, how does this argument even make sense? :jbhmm:

The worst two arcs in the Dragon Ball Super anime were the movie adaptations (Beerus and Frieza) because they got dragged out and the animation budget was way lower than the movies.

The better arcs in Super (Future Trunks and the Tournament of Power) were ones where we didn't know what was going to happen.

Like @LordDeathwatch said, that doesn't make sense considering the anime is based off the manga. So if you read the manga, you know what's going to happen

It does make sense because for Dragonball Super, the anime came out first and the manga was an adaptation that came out later.

Nobody knew who was going to win the ToP because it hadn't ended yet in the manga. Nobody knew how the Future Trunks are was going to end at the time or what was going to happen. Super was never like DBZ where it was based off an ongoing manga. The manga came after the anime. It would be different if Toriyama was releasing a chapter every week like he was in the 90s.

Also like how you completely ignored my point about the movie adaptations being much worse than the movies :skip:

Plot induced power gets no shake over here homie. There’s no real reason other than fan service to have Gohan be anywhere near Goku and Vegeta.

:yeshrug:

It's not plot-induced, even as a kid Gohan always had the most natural power.

The only reason he isn't already stronger than Goku/Vegeta is just lack of interest in fighting most of the time.

You're right, but eventually the the Manga caught up to the anime like Toriyama said it would it. Now the manga has completely surpassed it, so the anime will be based off it :manny:

I guess but for me it ruins the suspense when you already know how the arcs will end. :manny:

It wasn't an issue for DBZ because most people (at least outside Japan) weren't reading the manga. Plus back in the day Toriyama was releasing a chapter every week, now it's someone else doing the manga and only once a month, so the pacing is kind of weird.

If they have to adapt the manga so be it, but I'm really not trying to see the Broly movie dragged out into 20 poorly animated episodes. :francis:
