He beat them all and fell for the same attack that Goku and Vegeta did. According to the manga, Gohan is on their level. He might have finally arrived.

To finally be able to fight with Goku and Vegeta. At least until they get these new power ups. That fight with Kefla should have given him a zenkai boost. She wore him out. He could barely move.

If Merus teaches Goku how to activate Ultra Instinct at will, then the manga is over right? There's no one left to fight. Unless they're about to make up an angel-level enemy.

Yep. He took out those enemies just as efficiently as Goku and Vegeta would. He's certainly on their level.

Manga and anime are canon even though the stories are different. Don't ask me how. The show ended because it's giving time for the manga to get ahead before it starts again.
