I enjoy Xenoverse and the Budokai games for translating the series' fighting style to the games, but lets be real, they were pure button mashers

This isn't going to be Budokai style. Unless you mean a more serious fighter than yes but Budokai gameplay I wouldn't expect it. They trying to go at Marvel vs capcom spot.
