Why is there no nuance in these discussions :snoop:

  • Some Kevin samuels had decent advice about having realistic expectations. We do live in a superficial world, and people aren't realistic enough or practical with their expectations.
  • He also went too far in some ways with his generalizations: some of his content leaned in too much on stereotyping black women, and he toyed with race science, all of which is unacceptable.
  • He relied on other cliche stereotypes (for instance, plenty of "high value" men DO CARE AND LIKE women that have a good job, unlike what he says).
  • Yes it's also true though that it is normalized and societally acceptable for black mento be scrutinized and grilled, and that should change also. People conveniently ignore that KS used to critique black men.
There needs to be a more moderate version of KS.
