Negativity (Kayfabe)
I've come to the conclusion many years ago that anything positive for the Black community will get shut down. Whether it's self-reliance through our own businesses/dollars (Black Wall street, etc) down to the protection and thriving of our actual community (ie Black Panther Party). Besides being infiltrated from all fronts, there are many of us with Black skin that will do anything possible to stop any movement and advancement. But unlike during the Civil Rights Era, agents don't have to join up with any Civil Rights leader or organization. They can spread their WS rhetoric online with the assistance of social media.

When the main focus should be about how can "We" as a people improve our situation, the majority unfortunately focus on the negatives. The constant tactics to declare someone a fraud, use their personal matters to attack them, attack their character is at an all time high. I ask this question - who is the real enemy? If we used the same energy to tear each other down, to unite and build our people up and our economic structure up, we would already have a school by now....fukk it, we would have schools, banks, hospitals and much more. But reality is, we ain't got shyt. We're just a bunch of consumers rather than owners.

So instead of attacking a person who is trying make a difference, each person should hold themselves accountable because like someone else said in this thread, we don't need leaders. That person is correct. We need a unified front of Black people who are tired of their current situation to make a difference. Why should I rely on a White or Jewish bank for a loan? Why should I worry about changing my first name on my resume to even be considered for a job that I'm qualified for? Why don't the owners in my hood look like me? Shouldn't we have our own? Evidently Blacks ain't tired enough of where we are in this country because we'd be on some "talk less, do more" situation. But for some reason AAs keep tolerating: police brutality, economic disparity, lack of education funding in poor areas, discrimination, etc but still find the time to complain about individuals who're trying to lay down the groundwork for some progress. I ask the question again, who is the real enemy?

Great post, except the bolded.

Black people are always blamed for the things that happen to us, when they are wwwwwaaaayyyy out of our control.

This all starts at the economic exploitation that was American Slavery. Just because they pass an amendment doesn't mean they stopped trying to make money off us.

I love all else you wrote, though.

This issue with this guy--and I'm neither pro nor against (his thread get to wild to even figure him out)--but, if this dude is misappropriating people money, that's HUGE issue.

Don't tell me you building something and can't give me simple stuff like a syllabus or some type of actual plan.

how does that negate his message though?

If someone tells me that he is my friend but his actions show otherwise I'm more inclined to believe his actions.

If someone tries to teach me something and my actions are to reflect the teachings but his actions do not reflect the teachings
themselves I question if my actions should change, when he who already has all that knowledge has not found it fit to change himself. It's simply hypocritical

Umar addressed that directly during the interview.

I'm honestly not gonna watch the interview. It doesn't affect my day to day. I also don't want to come off negative or throw shade at the character. If people are learning from him then I applaud that. I just wondered if the stories had been addressed from all perspectives not just his words.

But never mind me. I don't know him enough to speak on him and probably won't pay attention in the near future.

Not surprised at responses like this...if it ain't white daddy telling you something, you c00ns don't accept it as truth. If Dr. Umar from Philly was Dr. Phil Hubbardson from Utah, you bytch ass uncle toms would be co-signing and having a circle jerk over what he was spitting. Many of y'all are a bunch of self-hating, bytchmade c00ns.

:ehh:

Or, some of us just could have enough insight to spot a hustle.... :yeshrug: Let's play a game...... Who on this forum really knows what is entailed to get a school off the ground and running...... Hell, we didn't even know the school would be private until now... Does anyone have any idea? :sas1:

That's never really a good indicators of a person being sensible. Not sayin' he isn't, but, humans are emotional more times than rational.

I admit to basing my opinion on him on coli arguments.
