I think his ego is so big that he definitely had intentions of building the school, because his name would be associated with it, but unsurprisingly, his ego has also been the main reason the school hasn't come into fruition, he has consistently refused that kind of help that could be seen notable and associated with getting the school going, so here he is.

Personally, and this is just my personal opinion, I have a high bar for scamming and being a bad faith actor, this is due to my deterministic mindset, it's possible Umar is scamming, and I would say, anyone that says he is scamming is fine to do so at this point, I just think while he is irresponsible with the money, which I can grant could also be scamming, he just doesn't have the tools to get the school done in a reasonable time, and that's speaking to just the basic requirements to begin operation, running an actual school is an even bigger task than what is currently on his plate.



TLDR: I personally wouldn't say he is scamming due to my deterministic thinking, but it is fair for others to call him a scammer at this point, he has had significant help offered countless times, his ego at this point isn't an excuse to continue on like this.

And something of importance that I should note, I'm not making any excuses for Umar, people like me were calling out Umar and Tariq when it definitely wasn't cool to do so on this site. So I don't want anyone quoting me saying I'm making excuses, I have never suggested donating to either individual.

I think he gets a bad rap, I think people don’t like him mostly because of his interracial views, but he moves like a person who really is for the community, it’s definitely other nikkas who showed agent behavior but umar ain’t that from my point of view
I don’t agree with everything he say and in terms of the school I never thought it would work, the idea of crowd funding a school was not realistic, but to tear him down, say his degrees ain’t real, accuse him of scamming because his school ain’t open yet just seems weird like people got ulterior motives
