THE EARLIER MENTIONED "FLASHLIGHT" IS ONE OF THE MOST FAMOUS BASSLINES EVER
AND IT WAS CREATED WITH A MINIMOOG SYNTHESIZER.

Nah Gin and juice live bassline sounds more rich than this one. Flashlight bassline fits with the body of its song but it could've been better.

:snoop:THIS nikka DRE DIDNT EVEN DO THE BASS LINES

WTF DOES THIS nikka DO?

Dude, he's a producer.

:dahell:Do you think that Quincy Jones and Phil Specter played the instruments on all those classic pop records?

No, producers and beat makers are two different things. Dre happens to be both or only one depending on the day.

Producers guide the recording session, not play all the instruments.

How come all these super amazing talented musicians never do anything with their talent after they stop recording with the good doctor?:jbhmm:

:ohlawd::ohlawd:Preach my nikka. All these nikkaz talk all this shyt about Dre yet NOBODY has been better without Dre than they were with him.

What happened to Eazy after he left?
What happened to Death Row after he left?
What happened when Snoop stopped working with him?
What happened when Eminem started "producing" his own stuff?
What happened when 50 started fukking with other people.
What happened when The Game stopped fukkin' with him?

:what: MOST PRODUCERS CREATE THEIR OWN BASSLINES.

IF YOURE SAMPLING A TRACK
THE LEAST YOU CAN DO IS ADD YOUR OWN BASSLINE TO THE TRACK
ALONG WITH THE DRUMS.

YOU CAN PLAY BASS LINES OUT ON YOUR MIDI PLAYER
OR BEAT MACHINE.

SOUNDS LIKE YOU WERE USING shytTY SOUNDS...

THEY SOUND THE SAME WHEN YOU HAVE THE RIGHT SOUNDS
AND PLUGINS.

STEP UP YOUR SOFTWARE GAME.

:comeon:You use Bernie Worrell, one of the greatest keyboard geniuses in history as an example of what rappers basslines should sound like?

That's like posting highlights of Michael Jordan and saying, "Why don't people play ball like that anymore"?

You're wrong. Larry Smith who produced Run-DMC & Whodini was wayyy more in the vein of a music producer like Quincy Jones than Timberland.

Dre's a musical producer on a whole nother level, which is why he's the GOAT.

Why you think that everybody he touches (with few exceptions) goes out and changes the game.

Dude's even put his hands on Kendrick Lamar and dude is out here making all-time great albums.

So to keep score.

Dude went from NWA to Death Row (Snoop/2pac/Dogg Pound) to Aftermath (Eminem/50 Cent/The Game/Kendrick Lamar)

Everytime he puts his hands on something it changes the whole rap game & yet you trippin?

This discussion is old. Producer and beat maker are different. Quincy Jones can play a whole bunch of instruments but he didn't play many on the MJ albums.
