Off top, this album shouldn't have been labeled COMPTON.Maybe only 3-4 tracks have a "COmPTOn" feel to it. The rest sounds like a much of niccas tryna create a futuristic sound

I think Dre was trying to promote the movie with the title:yeshrug:

I've done a complete 180 on this album since it came out. Hated it at first but I appreciate it much more today. Sounds nothing like Dre's old shyt but also nothing like the current hip hop out there either

Have to keep in mind alot of the same nikkas who are over the top with the distaste for this album are number 1 Future..Migos..and Drake fans...which says alot about thier taste and opinion on music....:scust:....alot of these post are out right ridicolous though..but thats todays hiphop fan...go ape shyt over the same sounding shyt...but get turned off by different sounding music regardless of how good it is...because its different....:stopitslime:

If Dr Dre didn't use that Kendrick style and all that extra shyt that wasn't songs on that album it could have been a easy classic for Dr Dre.

:sas1:

Put that album Compton (song for song) with any album that came out that year all the way till now and tell me what album is better. I would love to see the replies to that challenge.

So, The Defiant One made me revisit this topsy turvy soundtrack:huhldup:

...don't judge me:yeshrug:

But, how did BeatsbyDre make his voice and Snoop's (lowkey) sound like their ghostwriters:dame:

Animals was dope. Brehs waited 16 years for the follow up to Chronic. Dr released an album that sounds like it took 3 months to make. It was a decent album though for what it was. :manny:
