Bullshyt excuse. it had no stand out songs,that's why people aint feeling it

I think that reflects the era it was released in :sas1: Take a look at the other Dre "solos" The Chronic (1992) and 2001 (1999). Those are different eras but they both are within the time frame of hip hop's pinnacle.

Now Compton (2015) just shows the days and times that we live. I do agree WATTBA but that doesn't mean that it's becuz of the music being released :pachaha:

None of this changes anything.
None of this excuses the bland melodies in the hooks and beats or the forgettable flows.
Nice melodies still exist in hooks and beats

The difference is that when he put out the Chronic albums he was the one making the rules, he was releasing these original sounds and making them sound great (G-funk, piano sounds all over every track). He gave the sound of west coast, California.
When he released Compton he was not developing anything original, he was just playing by the rules of the current sound of the culture (trap beats, mumble rapping).

Damn just typing about this album makes me sad & angry again, I really thought if Dre actually releases something after fukkin 16 years it would definetely be a game changer and classic.... Instead we got this absolute trash :mjcry::mjcry::damn::mindblown:

It wasn't horrible to me, just a letdown. But hearing Dr. Dre sound like Kendrick Lamar was definitely trash.

Nothing on Compton sounded like the current sound of the culture. I remember that 1 of the 1st things my nikka @shopthatwrecks pointed out and he's right too.
