I would also add Mista Don’t Play to that underrated category as well. Even though my favorite album of his is Ghetty Green, that MDP sound as well as the records from it been sampled and copied to death, even to this day.

Compton > Chronic > 2001 imo

But the highs of 2001 are still insane
Nahhh Compton ain't touching those two. It has an even worse display of rapping than 2001. Dre don't even sound like Dre on most of those songs. Whoever ghostwrote for him on that album wanted him to sound more like Kendrick, Meek Mill or whatever rather than himself.

Plus there's zero replay value in Compton. You still got people listening to Chronic and 2001 hits. What hits are getting played from Compton? I'm gonna take a wild guess and say Talking To My Diary had the most play because it is the most chronic 2001 sounding song from entire album, cause it's an old track.

Compton is more of a compilation to me, a celebration

Dre was still trying to prove himself on those first 2 records

Sure he doesnt Sound the same but all of those Features killed it

Em Kendrick and Snoop for example with some of their best ever verses
