Because FORD will never go away. Ever. As long as America is here, FORD will be here. The government bailout that happened is proof of that.

Not only that, it's probably one of the best bang for your buck dividend stocks on the market.
I’ve been holding ford for a while. Hasn’t gone up since but that dividend is solid.

BEDMINSTER, N.J., and DUBLIN, Ireland, June 07, 2019 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Amarin Corporation plc (NASDAQ: AMRN), a pharmaceutical company focused on improving cardiovascular health, today announced that three Amarin-supported posters will be presented at the American Diabetes Association 79th Scientific Sessions in San Francisco, June 7 – 11, 2019. All three posters highlight important findings regarding the challenges of current treatment options for diabetes patients with cardiovascular risks. More than 30 million adults in the United States have diabetes, 10 million of whom are considered at elevated risk for cardiovascular events, despite being on cholesterol-management medicines.1,2

“What we have learned through our landmark clinical trial, REDUCE-ITTM, as well as other research, is that cholesterol and diabetes management is not enough to effectively treat cardiovascular disease in patients with diabetes and other risk factors,” said Craig Granowitz, M.D., Ph.D., chief medical officer of Amarin. “Cardiovascular disease is the No. 1 cause of death in people with diabetes. We applaud the ADA for highlighting the need to better understand and address increased cardiovascular risk in patients with diabetes.”

Fellas, Lipitor is by far the best selling drug of all time.

By a wide margin, Pfizer's Lipitor qualifies as the best-selling drug of all time. The blockbuster drug, which is used to lower cholesterol levels, was first introduced to the market in 1997 and had a strong run of exclusivity until its patent expired in late 2011. Its rise in popularity was attributed to the fact it lowered cholesterol faster than competing statin drugs, according to certain studies.

Check out this article:

More than half of eligible American adults who are not on a cholesterol-lowering medication, or statin, say it's because their physician did not offer the option, according to new research.

Physicians fail to offer statins to more than half of eligible patients, study says - CNN

AMRN can not only be prescribed to everyone thats on Lipitor/Statins, but also on the other half of the population that either couldn't take Statins, or were never prescribed Statins!!!!

And this is before you include everything else AMRN can possible treat. Cancers, Alzheimer's, Inflammation, etc

Bought into Realty Income Corporation. I plan to add a share a week or so. Doing it on my free SoFi account. Also bought a partial share of Google. I'll be building my position back into Google with my spare change over the long term till it gets to a full share. Lastly I dumped Walmart and bought back into Boeing. I want Target to be my retail stock and I regret not buying it back when it was in the low 70s a few weeks ago. There's a possibility I go back to Amazon as my retailer.

All in all I'll have 18 stocks. I might sell my position in Comcast though because them, Verizon, and AT&T have too much overlap as MSOs. I still think my company list is pretty varied though.

  1. Apple 16%
  2. McDonalds 13.5%
  3. Verizon 11%
  4. Disney 9%
  5. Microsoft 8.4%
  6. AbbVie 7%
  7. Nike 7%
  8. Boeing 4.6%
  9. AT&T 4%
  10. Bank of America 3.6%
  11. Uber 3.6%
  12. Coca-Cola 3.3%
  13. Intel 3%
  14. Comcast 2.8%
  15. Ford 2.6%
  16. Realty Income < 1%
  17. Google < 1%

Intel because it's undervalued right now and probably stands to go up in capital appreciation long term. Good dividend and a low payout ratio so I'll expect the dividend to grow. The trade war really beat Intel down. That's why I bought into them. It's a new position for me.

i recommend investing in an ETF to start. something like VTSAX, VTI or VOO. it gives you diversification and helps you build up your portfolio faster. then you should invest in individual stocks. it's just practical instead of buying a couple of shares of a stock at a time.

I only got AMD right now. Been holding since last year and the price has doubled since... Will buy more when it dips further.
