stuff like that is a culturally accepted norm.
There is nothing normal about it. You have to be brainwashed into thinking it’s normal when I’m actuality, it’s a bad business model.

Maybe that person is struggling & delivering is less than using gas.i agree in general that tipping culture is ridiculous, but it also is a service to have your food delivered to you.
if you're struggling so badly that you can't tip your delivery man at all, then you should go get your food your damn self imo.
Those apps all charge a delivery fee in addition to the tip, unless you get the premium upgrade. The delivery fee doesn't go to the driverThey didn’t charge a delivery a tip was a “tip” now you’re double tipping on top of inflated costs

Drivers don’t get the delivery fee that goes to the company…. These companies making money off that delivery fee.. most folk think it the actual tip and it’s not…Those apps all charge a delivery fee in addition to the tip, unless you get the premium upgrade. This take is wild and a perfect example of how fukked up the tip culture is in amerikkka…and this coming from someone who tips the cashiers when I go pickup my foodi agree in general that tipping culture is ridiculous, but it also is a service to have your food delivered to you.

That could work, but if I'm having something delivered from far away, I would like the option to tip more. Even if the place is real close, I'ma still tip $4-5.Drivers don’t get the delivery fee that goes to the company…. These companies making money off that delivery fee.. most folk think it the actual tip and it’s not…
They should get rid of the tip option and just charge a set delivery fee of $10 and just split that portion with the driver… so the company getting $5 and driver gets $5 and call it a day
There are services fees attached to these orders. I’m already paying in for the delivery person to receive a wage every time I order.i agree in general that tipping culture is ridiculous, but it also is a service to have your food delivered to you.
